Doing portraits of my Pearl team, like every other person out there. A lot of firsts in this picture. Never drawn a real background with a mouse (I don't recommend it), nor light reflection on an object from the back, nor this.. weird coloring style. Fairly pleased with how it came out, I was just experimenting.
Coming up are Torterra, Salamence, Froslass, Houndoom and Suicune. In the very distant future. Maybe.
That's beautiful! I really like the shading style you used there. I've never really thought about mixing distinct shading lines with gradients, and it's turned out well! I want to try that sometime.
That's still aparent then? Haha, ah, how sad.. I started out on the internet in the Lion King fandom and have been trying to stay away from that style for the past two years. But who cares, if it looks good, right? My next project (Torterra) is far from Lion Kingish though XD.
I'm making it more difficult than it could be, hah. If I had one, a tablet would cut the time spent on this is half, plus reduce the chance of wrist injuries. It's okay though, I'm more confident working with my good ol' mouse.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
